Travel the World!
After reading the book Flat Stanley by Jeff Brown, we decided we would like to go on our own exciting vacations to visit family and friends.

  • We worked with our families to think of friends or family members in different states or countries and brought in their addresses.
  • Then we made our "Flat Students" at school. (See below)
  • Next we addressed our mailing and return envelopes.
  • Finally, we sent them off with a letter of introduction.

We asked our "host family" to take our Flat Student to a statue, landmark, or monument that is important to their city, state, or country (a perfect match for our Social Studies work this year).
