Ida, the Lighthouse Kitty, has been our dear friend this year. She has e-mailed birthday wishes to each of us, she has sent us terrific stories, cards, and gifts, and has truly helped us learn more about the wonderful world of lighthouses. As our school year drew to a close we wanted to do something very special for her. We knew she LOVES lighthouses so we collected spare change for a month (see Roll Up Day) and purchased a brick at Avery Point Light in Connecticut engraved with a message for her. We then made a "paper" quilt for her, below is our online version. |
